Legere BB Cream (Blemish Balm) - Nu Ren Wo Zui Da

Legere BB Cream is really a cool product. It was a gift from my friend whom she bought this in taiwan. Other than that, this product was featured on the well known TV Show (Nu Ren Wo Zui Dai) and was well liked by many celebrities. It is one my favourite cosmetic now!

BB Cream is also known as Blemish Balm. It is suitable for people who had just undergone laser treatment or even cosmetic surgery and it can help to calm skin redness (which i really gave thumbs up for that). It also conceal dark eyes rings, blemishes, freckles, wrinkles and large pores. It is not as exaggerating as what was shown in the picture but it do have its great functionality. Most importantly, it does not clog your pores and it is a ALL in 1 Makeup that every women need, especially when you need moisturiser and coverage. It can be used as a makeup base, concealer or even foundation.

Here is what BB Cream do to my skin:
- Minimise pores
- it cover my skin redness very well
- it cover my dark eyes circles
- it made my skin glow a bit

BUT

if you have serious acne scarring, it can only help to minimize the appearance and not to the extend of having perfect coverage.

So, the next time when you go taiwan, do remember to get a Legere BB Cream. :)

How to make a makeup sponge last longer

Washing your makeup sponge everytime after use will prevent bacterial and also let the makeup sponge last longer. If you see your sponge lost its original shape, smell odds or starting to shred at the edge, replace it with a new one. Normally, I would discard my makeup sponge after using it for a few times.

Wash your makeup sponge with antibacterial or regular soap. Allow your sponge to air dry after that. Store your makeup sponge in small plastic containers that are specially made for sponges.
Suggestion: Buy replacement makeup sponges from pharmacies where they sell it in large quantities. This will let you save more money than buying over cosmetic counters.

Purpose of Makeup base

Makeup base is used to correct the imperfection for your skin tone. Whether there is a need on putting makeup base before applying makeup depends very much on individual and their complexion. If their skin is very dull, red and patchy, dark eye circles, the usage of makeup base would greatly help in enhancing their skin.

Makeup bases comes in different shades for different skin problems. A purple base will provide radiance for dull looking skin while a green base will reduce redness as for yell0w or ivory base make will make skin look smoother.

Should Concealer be applied before or after foundation?

Many woman have been wondering whether they should apply concealer before or after. In fact, there are no right and wrong answer. It all depend on what type of foundation you are using that day.

If you are applying a powder foundation, it is best to use the concealer first because you do want to have a cakey finish. If you use the concealer after that, instead of covering up your flaws, it will make them look more obvious.

If it is liquid foundation, it does not matter whether you are applying after or before the foundation because both have similar soft texture. If you want a more natural coverage, you may apply your concealer first then followed by your foundation. If you need heavier coverage, then you use it after your foundation.

Apply loose powder to have a wonder finish. Remember to dust away any excess loss powder.

Great for dark eyes circles

Concealer Tips for Eyes

Concealer is a MUST for make-ups as it will help to cover your flaws like acne, scars, dark eye circles, wrinkles etc...

When it comes to choosing concealer, we have to extra careful. Choosing the right type and shades of concealer will minimise your problem. Concealing the dark eye bag and puffiness are harder. If the wrong method and shades are applied, it will make it look worse.
How to reduce creasing and puffiness on your eyes area?
Stay away from very creamy concealers. Creamy concealers tend to be oilier and the crease more obvious. Sometimes if you apply too much concealer and foundation, it can worsen the appearance of the wrinkles because as soon as the make-up settles into the lines, it will be very obvious.

I would suggest a light dusting of translucent powder so that it will brighten your eye area.
As for puffiness around the eye area, it would be best to minimise the puffiness with a good eye mask. For emergency purpose, you may want to use a metal spoon that you have store in the fridge overnight and leave it on your eye areas for 5 minutes as the coldness will help to refresh your eyes and reduce puffiness.

Another tips for your eyes, store your eye cream in the fridge before use. Every night when you apply your eye cream, you may also place thin cucumber slices over your eyes so that it will maximize the effect.

How long should we keep our makeups?

I was so shocked to know the real answers to all these. I dumped quite a fair bit of my cosmetics today. So how about you? When was the last time you dumped those lipsticks, blushers...? For those cosmetics that did not indicate expiry date, it is best that you jot it down so that you can estimate the lifespan of your cosmetics.

~Lipsticks

So far lipsticks is one of the make-up that have longest life-span. Lipsticks cannot be kept more than 2 years. It is very easy to distinguish when to throw away lipsticks and one should stop using to prevent any side effects. You should stop using the lipstick when it taste or smell waxy.

~Powder

Some as long as three years because most powders don't have water.

~Liquid Foundation/Cream Foundation

One year. If it is unopened, it can be kept for maximum 2 years. If the smell or texture starts to change, it is time to buy a new one.

~Mascara

Mascara have the shortest lifespan. 3months to 6 months. ( I was so sad when i heard this and i dumped quite a few today, heartpain, sobz..sobz). As our eyes are the most delicate and sensitive, so it is best to discard it after 3-6 months because every time when we use the mascara, we are contaminating it because our eyes are warm and wet and this can cause bacteria

~Eye Shadows

A year. 2 years for those unopened. If color or smells change, same thing "Throw away".

~Eye Cream

3 - 6 Months.

So is it time for you to clear your old cosmetics? Get rid of those that you should...
