Basic Skincare Regimen

I used to have breakouts on my face and have often been wondering why some ladies on the street have extremely good porcelain skin. It took about 3 years for me to understand the basic steps in taking care of my skin. I often complain the zits on my face and blame the whole world why it is so unfair that i still get breakouts even when i buy expensive products and go for expensive facials that costs about $180 each time. Finally, I stopped complaining ever since i found the right method and that is THE BASIC STEPS TO SKIN CARE....

Basic Steps in taking care of your face: 1+2+3. It is just so simple!!!

1. Cleanse your face twice a day

Cleanse your face with a good cleanser every morning when you wake up. Cleanse thoroughly in gentle circular movement. Remove the cleanser with generous amount of water. Most of the people would stop splashing their face with water once they feel "Clean". However, I would splash my face 3 more times with water after that.

Most of the people after a day of lethargic work are LAZY to clean their face. PLEASE MAKE IT A HABIT to cleanse your face before going to bed. For ladies who put on make up, PLEASE REMEMBER to remove your make-up with a good make-up remover before cleansing. If you don't cleanse your face properly, breakouts will happen and it is.... SCARY...

2. Toner

Relying on a cleanser is still not good enough. How about the stubborn oil or makeup that still can't be removed with cleanser? We need a good Toner. Toner will help to remove excess sebum or trace of make-up on your face. It also helps to tighten your pores after cleansing because our pores will open when we cleanse. Hence, applying a good toner is definitely important. Apply to a perfectly cleanse face using a cotton pad.

3. Moisturise

Some people have been asking questions like "Do I still require a moisturiser because my face is so oily?" The ans is "YES".
Moisturiser helps to keep the skin hydrated and moist so that your skin doesn't need to OVERWORK to produce natural oil. When there is an overproduction of excess oil, acne starts to appear. In order to stay acne free, maintain your skin at the most optimum level with a moisturiser as well so that it stays hydrated. So, PLEASE DO NOT skip the moisturiser. Find a moisturiser that is light and oil free. For people with dry skin, you can go for extra moisturing creams and lotions.

With 3 simple daily steps day and night steps, you can be more BEAUTIFUL.
In my next post, i will share with you about Skin care products, Natural Masks using green tea etc....

Green Tea

Green Tea has always been in the part of my life. I started drinking Green Tea since the age of 13. Infact green tea has become a staple beverage for most Asians.

The first person who founded the benefits of green tea was Chinese Emperor Shen Nung. It was reported to have been boiling water when some leaves of the Cameilia sinensis(herbs extracted from green tea) fell into his pot.

WHY I LOVE DRINKING GREEN TEA?
- Weight Loss
It helps to clear the toxin. It has been found that the EGCG found in green tea diet can increase the metabolism rate in our bodies. I lost about 2 kg when i first started drinking green tea but i guessed results vary. I drink green tea everyday to maintain my figure.

- Control Cholesterol
Survey was conducted on 240 people with mild to extremely high cholesterol levels and after twelve weeks of continuous drinking of green tea, those people dropped 16% in their cholesterol levels. (WOW!!!)

- Fight Cancers
Best of all, Green Tea helps to fight different type of cancers such as stomach cancer, colon cancer, oral, prostate, breast and cervical cancers.

- Make your skin better
If you are prone to acne breakdown, PLEASE make it a habit to drink green tea. Due to toxins acumulation in our body, pollution and stress. Our skin start to dehydrate and get breakouts. By drinking green tea not only helps to protect the skin from damage due to ultraviolet light radiation but also aids in acne breakout by flushing out the toxins in our body.
