How to choose an eye shadow color

Eyes are the window of your soul. You have to choose the right color to make your eyes look bright and fresh. Look for colors that contrast lightly with the shades of your eyes and colors that are easy to match and blend well with other colors. Light colored eye shadows will highlight the area and Dark colored eye shadows will give a dramatic effect.

Every women should have three different shades of eye shadows that belong to the light, medium and dark shades. Light color eye shadows will brighten your eyes and as for medium tone will add slight depth to the look of your eyes. Application of darker or contrasting color will add more depth and shape to your eyes.

People with blue eyes should choose:
- soft browns and tans with sandy or pink undertones

People with brown eyes should choose:
-beige, toffee, fawn, chocolate, white, dark brown.

People with green eyes should choose:
- peachy or pinky shades

If you are still not very sure of which color to choose, get a professional to choose a series of shade for you.

Concealer Tips for Eyes

Concealer is a MUST for make-ups as it will help to cover your flaws like acne, scars, dark eye circles, wrinkles etc...

When it comes to choosing concealer, we have to extra careful. Choosing the right type and shades of concealer will minimise your problem. Concealing the dark eye bag and puffiness are harder. If the wrong method and shades are applied, it will make it look worse.
How to reduce creasing and puffiness on your eyes area?
Stay away from very creamy concealers. Creamy concealers tend to be oilier and the crease more obvious. Sometimes if you apply too much concealer and foundation, it can worsen the appearance of the wrinkles because as soon as the make-up settles into the lines, it will be very obvious.

I would suggest a light dusting of translucent powder so that it will brighten your eye area.
As for puffiness around the eye area, it would be best to minimise the puffiness with a good eye mask. For emergency purpose, you may want to use a metal spoon that you have store in the fridge overnight and leave it on your eye areas for 5 minutes as the coldness will help to refresh your eyes and reduce puffiness.

Another tips for your eyes, store your eye cream in the fridge before use. Every night when you apply your eye cream, you may also place thin cucumber slices over your eyes so that it will maximize the effect.

Lasik Eye Surgery

I have been considering Lasik Eye Surgery for about 2 years but i hesitated because i am afraid of surgery and my degree is not that bad. A couple of my friends went for Lasik and it really change their lifes. One went for Lasik is because he have to wear helmet when he is driving a bike and one went is because she hate contact lenses and the other one is because her eye sight is really VERY BAD.

Lasik improves their lifes greatly without needing to depend on glasses or contact lenses anymore.

Advantages of Lasik:

  • Painless and Fast Surgery process usually less than 30 mins
  • Achieve a better vision
  • Cornea strength is preserved and vision remains stable after Lasik
  • Corrects myopia with or without astigmatism and hyperopia with or without astigmatism.

Disadvantages of Lasik:

  • The healing process varys for each individual
  • Night Glare may occur in some cases.
  • Changes made to the cornea cannot be reversed.
  • Expensive
  • Side Effects for the first 24-48 hours such as Glare, Dry Eyes and Fluatuating Vision may occur.

I personally feel that before going for Lasik Eye Surgery, seek professionals and friends for advices. Best is go to Lasik Surgeons that your friends had tried it before. Overall, I think Lasik provides more convenience in life.
